GutFit and the Festive Season

At this time of the year with the Festive season fast approaching, the idea of self care some days seems an impossible dream!

This year particularly it seems a good time to reflect on what self care actually means and the ways you can incorporate small things in your daily life that support your physical and mental wellbeing in the short and long term.

Whilst a lot of us around this time look forward to the annual getaway that involves getting on a plane to somewhere warm and relaxing, obviously this year that might be more difficult. This year may see you staying closer to home or at home, a staycation.

The thought of uncertainty about our lives and wellbeing can reek havoc in our body’s functioning, as if we feel overwhelmed, worried and anxious our whole body gets tense (sympathetic nervous system activation) and particularly our gut function is adversely effected.

What many of our clients are implementing  to support themselves is undergoing a pre-festive season cleanse and using a program of Colonics  and infra red sauna sessions to reset their body.

It never ceases to amaze us here at GutFit Health, the changes we see in our clients who commit themselves to acts of loving self care and nourish and nurture their bodies and minds. Self care such as this shouldn’t be seen as an act of indulgence rather just like the metaphor of putting on your oxygen mask before helping others, prioritising your own gut health and general body care as a non negotiable.

At GutFit Health we have a number of tailored packages available such as our Festive Special  which is really popular. Our website and Instagram page has all the details plus a discount voucher.

Perhaps you haven’t ever had a infra red sauna? All our clients who have, give us the feedback of  loving the feeling of their body relaxing and then having a colonic after helps them to have a better release. This correlation makes  sense if we think about how when  our mind and body are  stressed then we tend to not relax as much on the colonic bed.  Compare this to when you have just spent 30 minutes detoxing through your skin , feeling all warm, calm and your muscles loosened therefore your large intestine will too be in a relaxed state to eliminate effectively.

You may remember when you first came to the clinic filling out a health form? On the form you are asked what are your main reasons for visiting GutFit Health. So many clients circle mental clarity, peak performance and more energy wanted. By making the time to commit to a colonic program you will find that each colonic goes deeper into cleansing the large intestine and the wall of the colon. Therefore  it follows if  there is less bad bacteria present,  more good bacteria, less festering old faecal matter, a more hydrated colon, less gas, therefore likely less bloating  that  usually makes you feel physically and mentally less than desired, you are then going to feel a sense of vitality and a sense of lightness in your body and mental state is very often reported to us from the clients.

Many of us spend a lot of money and time getting our hair done, our nails, massages and facials which are absolutely the best treatments! We often forget or say “next month” to working on our insides. We all know the health of our insides directly is reflected on the outside, and this year we all want that festive glow of wellbeing!

Lots of clients also find by undergoing a series of colonics really helps them to commit to other health and wellbeing practices such as drinking more water, exercising regularly, eating a nutritionally balanced diet, movement practices such as yoga and supporting their mental health with modalities such as meditation. There a lots of other blogs on our website to have a read of to increase your understanding about gut health and wellbeing.

We here at GutFit Health, thank you for all your kindness and support you have given us over this year that has seen many changes in many aspects of our lives. We so look forward to supporting you in your health journey over the rest of this year and beyond.

Wishing you all a wonderful season of celebration and appreciation of what each of us have in our lives.
